Not only is the chimney cleaning essential to the safety of your home or business, there is also another duct that is commonly overlooked. The dryer vent, or dryer duct as is also called, can be a fire hazard when not properly cleaned out on a regular basis. It can affect the efficiency of your dryer and in some cases pose a safety issue if clogged.
Lint traps are created to trap the excess lint that is created while the dryer is running. The lint trap catches most of the lint, but not all of it. The extra lint can build up and cause the dryer to take longer to dry your clothing and draw more electricity/ gas to efficiently dry the load. Moisture from condensation can also be an issue with this excess lint.
The dryer duct will need to be cleaned once to twice a year depending on how frequently you use your machine. Mr Chimney will thoroughly clean your dryer duct, the whole length of the vent. We will also repair or replace your dryer vent to code, if needed. If you have pests or bird trying to nest in the vent, we can also provide you with a screen to keep them from entering the duct.
